Château de Bussas, dating back to 1197, is set in 200 acres of spectacular scenery bordering the river Gardon. It provides an ideal setting for a relaxing holiday with its south-facing pool overlooking a secluded valley.
The property has been divided into 5 separate self-contained apartments, each with its own outside eating area and designed for independent living.
The apartments can be rented individually or in any combination for groups. The main apartment has a spacious reception and dining area that is ideal for large parties.
The tranquil valley of Bussas offers a perfect retreat. It is in the heart of the Cévennes, an area of unspoilt beauty and outstanding wild life.
Walkers and mountain bikers can enjoy the trails through the hills and the majestic scenery stretching towards the Mediterranean to the south and the Massif Central to the north.

Local activities:
Hill walking – a wide range of local walks is described in booklet provided, mountain biking, canoeing in nearby rivers and down to the Pont du Gard, tennis, horse-riding, eagles and other bird watching, vineyards, Roman amphitheatres, museums, galleries, restaurants and attractions of local towns.
Day expeditions can easily be made to historic and cultural centres such as Montpellier , Nîmes , Arles , Uzès and Avignon ; also to the Camargue and the Mediterranean .
Caretaker:
The resident caretaker and his wife look after the property and show guests to their apartments on arrival. They have an organic garden providing fresh vegetables. They can also offer baby-sitting and extra cleaning by arrangement.
